Respiratory disease and the abnormal chest roentgenogram are frequently encountered by the primary practitioner. Using a problem-oriented approach focusing on the roentgenogram, Dr. Kiss covers the diagnosis and management of the commoner pulmonary disorders. The first half of the book deals with diagnosis; the succinct discussion of the signs and symptoms of pulmonary disease and a well-balanced presentation of the potential benefits and risks of special diagnostic procedures will be useful to the non-pulmonary specialist.
The chapter by Dr. Torstenson on radiologic manifestations of pulmonary disease, one third of the book, uses a pattern-recognition approach similar to that in the
