Dr. Figueroa has returned to us the enthralling science of hematology. Each concise chapter presents basics as well as "pearls," with emphasis on common problems. The four major parts are on erythrocyte and hemoglobin disorders; myeloproliferative and lymphoproliferative disorders; disorders of hemostasis; and therapeutic, technical, and complicating aspects. These sections comprise 21 chapters, none longer than 30 pages. The type and the diagrams are clear and readable and the tables are well thought-out. Questions and answers on clinical problems are at the end of each chapter. The reader also can earn 18 hours of Category I CME credit by completing
