A guide for physicians in private practice. Chapters that include tables giving information on salary ranges and fringe benefits are the most useful. Many of those on handling personnel problems are marred by a condescending tone that assumes the bosses are always men and the misbehaving employees are women. Statements such as "Life . . . is sufficiently complicated without bringing the Queen of Sheba into your office," and references to "Superwoman" seem unnecessary. No bibliography other than a list of books from the same publisher.
