At a time when there are so many excellent books on the radiology of bone and joint disorders, I see little justification for a book of this type. It is essentially a small atlas of joint and adjacent skeletal disease with legends, but no text and no bibliography. Compounding its inadequacy for the American reader is the use of unfamiliar terms, such as trophostatic syndrome and algoneurodystrophy. I find little to recommend this book for other than a quick radiographic tour of the joints. (THEODORE E. KEATS, M.D. University of Virginia School of Medicine; Charlottesville, Virginia)
