To the editor: We read with dismay the editorial, "The Road Away from Nuclear War," in the September issue (1). You insist in one breath "on full and fair argument in its scientific papers," yet suggests in the next that those who argue for the reduction of nuclear arsenals are preaching unilateral disarmament. This insinuation is in no way supported by the article by Drs. Cassel and Jameton discussed in the editorial (2).
You suggest that the antinuclear demonstrations in Europe and the United States over the past 2 years are "promoted by Soviet efforts," but it is clear that
