The only advantages to this book are the introductory chapters on a general approach to drug therapy and the introduction to individual chapters. Each chapter is of limited value to both the generalist and the subspecialist.
In fact, the major deficiency of this book is that it addresses neither the generalist nor the subspecialist, but is directed somewhere in-between. The text is highly personal, reflecting the opinions of the author of each chapter, rather than an overall view of the field. The price of the book hardly reflects its limited value to either the generalist or the subspecialist. The book
