Intended to make the allied health professional aware of business management techniques. Deals with the question of where to locate a practice, how to do financial planning and borrow money to open an office, how to get referrals, and how to build a practice. Tax laws, bookkeeping systems, collections, malpractice, and third-party payments are also discussed. Seven appendixes cover codes of ethics, licensure laws, intake forms, third-party payer forms, preoperative disclosure forms, release of information, and associations of allied health professionals.
