For anyone with more than a passing interest in the subjects covered by the title, this compendium is a masterpiece of design and execution. The 88 chapters, each by a different author or group of authors, are divided into four sections. Most chapters are brief enough to be read and digested at one sitting. With only a single topic to review (except T.S. Danowski who has two), the authors could spend the immense amount of time required to achieve completeness and conciseness.
