Short history of gastroenterologic cytology followed by five sections on the esophagus, the stomach, the duodenum and the pancreas, the biliary system and the liver, and the colon and rectum. Each section covers normal anatomy, histology, and cytology, the collection and preparation of specimens, and the interpretation of specimens from neoplastic and benign lesions. Well illustrated with black-and-white and color figures; the color cytologic figures are remarkably excellent.
