During the last decade significant progress has been made towards the better understanding and management of ventricular tachycardia; recent literature is replete with articles dealing with the various aspects of this arrhythmia. A consolidation of the more definitive information about the structural, metabolic, and electrophysiologic bases of ventricular tachycardia can be found in this book. The various chapters are authored by leading authorities in their respective fields. The section on biochemical and metabolic factors is especially welcome, since this area is seldom covered adequately in textbooks on arrhythmias.
