Although cardiac rehabilitation has not been accepted by the scientific community yet, it is a fact of life in the daily clinical management of patients with coronary artery disease. When dealing with rehabilitation, clinical cardiologists have recourse to their personal experience in the management of patients recovering from myocardial infarctions or coronary artery surgery, or to one of the more commonly accepted, structured programs available in various hospitals throughout the country.
