The current advances in technology and computers have brought forth a number of new instruments that help in the precise diagnosis of heart disease. However, reliance on esoteric laboratory determinations and fanciful instrumentation has deemphasized the bedside examination, despite both the dependency and proficiency of previous generations in this technique.
