It is appropriate that Stanley, Ernst, and Fry have produced an extremely useful and informative text on renovascular hypertension on the 50th anniversary of Harry Goldblatt's historic description of experimental renovascular hypertension. The contributors to this work are from various medical and basic science specialties including surgery, medicine, radiology, anesthesia, and physiology. The result of this collaborative effort is a clearly and concisely written, well-referenced text, enhanced by an appropriate number of figures, photographs, radiographs, and tables.
