To the editor: I was, of course, pleased with the complimentary remarks by Dr. Molina (1) about my article on Osler as visiting professor (2). Dr. Molina points out that Osler did not originate the term house pupil.
I debated with myself for a long time regarding the wisdom of publishing the article. I was concerned that it might be interpreted as presumptuous on my part. Finally, I concluded that it would be very useful to ask what Osler would say today.
