Most of the 19 reviews in this issue directly relate to practice. Most notable are those on human T-cell leukemia virus, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, genitourinary tract infections in women, management of pneumonia, aspergillus infections, beta-blockers, nondilated cardiomyopathies, cardiac consequences of malignancies, drug nephrotoxicity, hypokalemia, impotence, renal osteodystrophy, drug treatment of peptic ulcer, management of upper gastrointestinal tract bleeding, and screening for colorectal cancer. The type font is excessively large and probably extends the length of this book, thus accounting in part for the relatively high price.
