Pulmonary function tests are grossly underutilized by most clinicians because pulmonary specialists have not effectively informed their colleagues about the clinical usefulness of these simple tests. Reports of pulmonary function tests usually present a formidable array of several dozen numbers identified only by inscrutable abbreviations. The primary goal of this affordable paperback is to enable clinicians routinely to apply pulmonary tests for the diagnosis and follow-up of the many diseases that cause dyspnea.
I recommend that you read this book backwards, even if you are a pulmonary specialist. The last chapter is an excellent summary of the clinical indications for
