This patient-simulation program was developed by Dr. G. Banks of the Decision Systems Laboratory at the University of Pittsburgh. It is menu driven; the first menu presents six patients for diagnosis. A clinical history is given and then a menu of choices for the neurologic examination is shown. Tests of pupillary reaction, eye movements, nystagmus, and semicircular canal function are done interactively using the keyboard or game paddle. Results of other cranial nerve, sensory, and motor testing are given as statements of fact when requested from the neurologic examination menu.
