Most books use illustrations to supplement the text. This book attempts to present the subject primarily with visual images. Dr. Roitt's previous books are among the most widely used for immunology, and this book will probably surpass his previous ones in popularity. There are on average more than two high-quality color illustrations per page. Some are photographs, but most are drawings, diagrams, or tables. The text is concise and easy to read for an inherently complex subject.
