Preventive cardiology has emerged as a new discipline within the past few years. Several excellent books have been published in this area including those by Kaplan and Stamler, Julian and Humphries, and Connor and Bristow. Fraser's Preventive Cardiology is the latest publication in the field.
Cardiovascular epidemiology, population research, clinical trials, behavioral science, and intervention strategies in preventing ischemic heart disease are covered.
