Numerous books come out each year on liver diseases, some primarily dealing with pathologic findings and diagnostic features of biopsy results. These books occasionally describe changes seen on electron microscopic examination, and much less frequently present photomicrographs. A collection of photomicrographs in a single book is rare. This excellently prepared atlas and text dealing solely with electron microscopy of the liver is undoubtedly one of the largest of its kind to date.
