The noninvasive testing of cardiovascular, peripheral arterial, and venous disorders can be confusing to clinicians surrounded by a myriad of tests that are difficult to comprehend and apply. This book, written by vascular surgeons, attempts to describe current and commonly used methods, emphasizing clinical decisions. Each of its three main vascular sections begins with an initial overview, is followed by several chapters describing current technology, and concludes with a listing of implications from the vascular laboratory findings.
The expectation that the text would serve as a guide for choosing the most appropriate test for a clinical syndrome never fully materializes.
