Heavy emphasis on the pathology of effusions with many different disease processes represented. Lung scans, radiographs, and bronchoscopic photographs are correlated with clinical manifestations. Concentration on diagnostic methods, notably cytology. All the references are grouped at the end, resulting in a formidable list exceeding 2000.
