Few medical conditions have an impact on as many medical disciplines as hypertension. Health practitioners in general medicine, cardiology, emergency medicine, nephrology, endocrinology, pediatrics, and obstetrics need to make frequent decisions about tests or treatment. Dr. Kaplan fulfills his promise to produce an up-to-date book with a practical rational approach. The volume also has much of interest for the student, researcher, and epidemiologist; the extensive bibliography alone is a potential gold mine.
