Caveat emptor, especially at this price! Despite the title, this is not a book on food allergy, but rather a textbook of clinical ecology. Those physicians who refer to themselves as clinical ecologists attempt to explain most physical and psychologic illness in terms of sensitivity to foods, food additives, and environmental chemicals. Although recognized food-caused diseases such as anaphylaxis and sprue are included, the book clearly emphasizes the controversial and bizarre, including such topics as delayed food allergy, hyperactivity from food additives, phlebitis caused by chemical fume inhalation, allergic enuresis, illness from electromagnetic fields, and such phantom diseases as the
