There is an enormous amount of information in this book. The first chapter, a concise and understandable overview of tumor biology, is followed by 4 chapters on the epidemiology of urologic tumors and 7 chapters on histopathology. The remaining 46 chapters cover diagnosis and therapy. With the exception of retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy for testicular carcinoma, which is the topic of 3 different chapters, there is little overlap in content.
The chapters on treatment reflect the editors' enthusiasm for the surgical management of urologic malignancies, and their expertise in the field. Operative procedures and techniques are described in exceptional detail, supported by
