The subjects of anatomy and embryology, when mentioned to medical students or physicians, always arouse at most a polite indifferent yawn. This text has accomplished the impossible and remedied this boredom. The multiple cross sectional plates of the limbs facilitate learning and the understanding of anatomy. The physiology of muscle and bone is also up to date, and a description of slow and fast twitch muscle fibers as they pertain to different athletic prowess is included.
