The Kaplans' book is a digest for laymen of dietary risk factors, how to eat prudently, and the health problems of the air traveller, with lists of hotels and their health-related facilities and restaurants identified by price and type of cuisine. How "ozone" and "altitude sickness" relate to the concerns of the gourmet is not clear, and terrorist bombs as a potential hazard for those who relish good eating are not covered.
