The Medical Management of AIDS is a concise, practical, and thorough textbook by a large group of authoritative clinical experts. It covers relevant virology and epidemiology, but most of the chapters are about the general management of human immunodeficiency virus infection and its complications, the companion diseases (such as pneumocystis pneumonia, fungal infections, mycobacterial and other bacterial infections, malignancy), and special consideration of chest-film interpretation, pediatric problems, care systems, and legal questions.
