The clinical skills required for the primary care of adolescents encompass the domains of several specialties, but it is the precision with which these skills can be adapted to the unique requirements of adolescents that determines the quality of the clinical outcome.
Several texts are now available that attempt to identify unique aspects of adolescence so that primary care clinicians may apply their skills more precisely.
