Peptic ulcer disease is so vast a subject that numerous books being published yearly usually take varying approaches to the presentation of the desired information. Clearly, the various texts share an overlap of material with regard to peptic ulcer disease; however, the uniqueness of a book selecting topics for presentation is only as good as the focus of those topics and the book's appeal to the reader.
This text endeavors to take an academic approach to the treatment of peptic ulcer disease; however, it often falls short. The table of contents is divided into four topics: Origins, Presentations, Therapies, and
