M. Andrew Greganti, MD
It seemed the right decision for Jim and me. We were most concerned about maintaining our independence as long as possible, but we needed to know that someone would be there when we could no longer care for ourselves. Both of us wanted not to burden our children with our problems. As a life care community, Golden Acres promised everything we could possibly need—a beautiful, rustic setting, on-site health care at all levels—nurse practitioner home visits, a convenient outpatient clinic, sheltered living, skilled nursing care in a well-run health center, and, most of all, the chance to meet new friends
