Parallel columns of "Standards," "Rationale," and "Comment" carry text on needs, hazards, procedure, staffing, and design relevant to education, recreation, transport, and health maintenance for children from infancy through the school ages. Ranges far beyond matters in which physicians play a part, but should be highly useful to physicians employed by school systems or serving in advisory functions on school boards and similar bodies responsible at least in part for overseeing and ensuring safe and healthy environments and services.
