Part one deals with the embryology of the conducting system including the cardiac nervous system, the histology of the conduction system, and changes in the conduction system with aging, and contains an introduction to the pathology of the conduction system and intrinsic nerves. Part two deals with supraventricular, ventricular, and other types of arrhythmias; sick sinus syndrome; atrioventricular block; bundle branch block; and preexcitation. Emphasis is given to the cardiac nerves in the production of various types of arrhythmias. Brief clinical data are given with the electrocardiograms. Useful for clinical cardiologists, electrocardiographers, and students of cardiology.
