To the editor: Dr. Galloway (1) notes in his comment on our article "U-500 Insulin in the Treatment of Antibody-Mediated Insulin Resistance" (2) that we did not compare equivalent doses of U-100 pork regular and U-500 pork regular insulins. He adds that for many years he and his colleagues have recommended the use of pork regular insulin to treat antibody-mediated insulin resistance (3-5) and contends that any concentrations of pork regular insulin would have been as effective as the U-500.
