This monograph is the first in a promised series, Ackerman's Histologic Diagnosis of Neoplastic Skin Diseases: A Method by Pattern Analysis. The opening chapter sets forth the authors' principles of diagnosis. Most of the rest of the text illustrates with superb black-and-white figures (with accompanying case data and descriptive text) the low-magnification ("pattern"), mid-magnification, and high-magnification characteristics of the full range of benign and malignant lesions of eccrine origin. A work for specialists in dermatologie pathology.
