It may seem presumptious for me to attempt to discuss any phase of the relation of iodin to goiter at this time, when such an authority as Dr. Marine is to talk to you on the same subject, but my reason for doing so is that 15 percent of the total number of patients admitted to the Cleveland Clinic are goiter patients, and it is from the observation and study of this large group of cases that we have reached certain conclusions regarding the use of iodin in the various phases of this disease.
