The author has for many years given the subject matter of this book in lecture form to patients suffering from the various nutritional disorders. Since diet errors are very common, and such errors are undoubtedly responsible for many minor ailments, as well as for some of the more serious ones, he believes that a simple statement of the fundamental principles underlying the selection of a normal diet may fill a definite need.
