The four editions of the book have appeared in 1924, 1925, 1926 and 1928. The chief changes in this edition are the introduction of certain methods available in the diagnosis of spinal cord compression from various causes, including an examination of the hydrodynamic and chemical properties of the cerebrospinal fluid by combined cisternal and lumbar puncture and the intrathecal injection of lipiodol.
