During the last decade there has been aroused a greatly increased interest in asthma due to the discovery that bronchial asthma is an expression of human hypersensitiveness. The emphasis on the phase of the subject has tended to obscure other important studies that had been previously made. The purpose of the present book is to present an outline of bronchial asthma as a clinical expression of a constitutional defect and not as a disease entity. There are eight chapters and an appendix.
