This manual has been written for the diabetic patient in the hope that it will aid him in successfully combatting his disease. It contains a simple explanation of the underlying causes of diabetes and gives careful, explicit directions for its treatment, which, while warning him of his constant need for medical supervision, will nevertheless make the diabetic confident of his own ability to care for himself and to lead a comfortable normal life.
