This is a publication of the Human Betterment Foundation; and gives a summary of 6,255 operations for sterilization performed in California, 1909-1929. There were 601 more males than females sterilized, 1,488 were on feeble-minded, and in this group there were 330 more females than males. All feeble-minded patients are now sterilized before they are allowed to leave the state home at Sonoma.
