Croupous pneumonia due to pneumo-cocci is a disease of middle life, 20-40 years. The relation of males to females affected is about 4:2. The mortality for the individual ages varied from 8.6 to 15.3 per cent in a curve from 18 to 40 years. More cases occurred in the first four months of the year than in the later ones.
