In the interpretation of roentgen pictures, as in the diagnosis of tissue sections, a judgment cannot be made by direct comparison with other pictures or with other slides. Yet such illustrative material may be of very great aid. Pathological processes may never be duplicated in respect to all minute details, but they always follow general laws.
