Three groups of experimental animals (guinea pigs) were established. To those in the first group viosterol was given daily for 7 to 10 days. After this preliminary treatment, the animals were injected daily with parathormone in increasing amounts, and the viosterol was also continued. This combined medication extended over a period of 23 days. In a second group viosterol and parathormone were started simultaneously and administration extended over a period of 29 days.
