This small book combines the functions of an hematological atlas and of a concise textbook upon the diseases of the blood. The necessity for a second edition within two years of the first is sufficient evidence that the work is supplying an actual need. The color plates, for the greater part, give the appearances of the various types of blood cells as stained by the Jenner-Giemsa method, at a magnification of 1,000 diameters.
