In the first chapter of this work, entitled "Symptomatology", an excellent discussion is presented covering not only the symptoms of disease of the coronary arteries, but also the possible etiological factors in acute conditions and the mechanism of the production of symptoms in angina pectoris. Experimental evidences and clinical examples are given to emphasize the various points made. There is also a discussion of differential diagnosis. The latter part of the chapter deals with coronary thrombosis and myocardial infarction. These subjects are covered concisely, omitting little if anything of clinical importance concerning them.
