In this treatise the authors have presented a panoramic view of some of the fundamental developments of the physical sciences. The style is fascinating and in some of the more intricate mathematical phenomena of physical chemistry the authors have substituted concise diction for mathematical formulae. The subjects discussed are: The Methods of Science, Atomic Structure, Transmutation of the Elements, Valence, Radiations on Chemical Systems, New Elements and New Uses for Old Ones, and the Elixir of Life.
