LOUIS H. RODDIS, F.A.C.P.
Johan Christoph Friedrich Schiller, the poet and friend of Goethe, was born November 10, 1759. November 10 was the birthday of another medical poet, Oliver Goldsmith, born 31 years before in 1728.
Schiller's place of birth was the little town of Marbach in Wurtemberg, Germany, situated in a district of the Rhine valley long famous for the beauty of its scenery and the richness of its agriculture.
