As usual, Dr. Vaughn has written a scholarly book, demonstrating again his wide knowledge of the subject under consideration. The format of the book is attractive in appearance. There are numerous, excellent illustrations which add materially to the text.
Dr. Vaughn has divided his book into 16 parts. It begins with a section outlining the steps in the development of our present understanding of clinical allergy; the general characteristics of clinical allergy, such as the incidence and the effect of climate and heredity, are considered. The next section is on the physiology of allergy and then in order are presented:
