This small volume will be found of interest and help to those who have neurosurgical patients under their care. There are short chapters which deal with history taking and elementary anatomy which are of value primarily to the nurse. Diagnostic procedures, such as lumbar and cisternal punctures, the Queckenstedt test, and encephalography, are briefly but adequately discussed. Discussion of the care of the bladder and the description of continuous tidal drainage will be found helpful.
